Mr. Shestak is a 2003 graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Statistics. He obtained his Juris Doctor from Duke University School of Law in 2007.

During law school Mr. Shestak served on the Duke University School of Law Community Service Board and was appointed the 2006-2007 law student liaison to the American Bar Association Center for Professional Responsibility. He also participated in the Duke University School of Law Community Enterprise Clinic, helping to provide pro bono legal services to non-profit organizations and low-wealth entrepreneurs.

Mr. Shestak joined The Banks Law Firm’s Civil Litigation Practice in 2007. He is a member of the American Bar Association Section of Litigation, the ABA Forum on Affordable Housing and Community Development Law, and the North Carolina Bar Association. He serves on the Newsletter Committee of the North Carolina Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division.
