Mr. Cheshire attended college at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he graduated “with highest distinction” in 2003, earning membership in the Phi Beta Kappa honor society, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Public Policy Analysis.

Upon receiving his undergraduate education, Mr. Cheshire began his professional career in the financial services sector, developing payroll expense financial modeling and helping to implement an intradepartmental accounting system for a large information technology organization.

Mr. Cheshire received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s School of Law in 2008. While earning his Juris Doctor, Mr. Cheshire served as a staff writer on the First Amendment Law Review. He also authored Market-Based Planning Tools: An Overview of PDRs and TDRs for the North Carolina Coastal Resources Law, Planning and Policy Center, and was a participant in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program.

Mr. Cheshire joined The Banks Law Firm’s Civil Litigation Division in September of 2008.
